Program Educational Objectives

From two to three years after graduation, program graduates will be able to combine skills gained through their academic program to:

1. Assume a leadership role in an organization to conduct design and build projects that contribute to the modernization and industrialization of Viet Nam.

2. Work effectively in competitive global business environment to produce high quality products.

3. Be able to continue learning and developing engineering skills to recognize aspects of complex technical problems, analyze to find root causes and propose optimal solutions to mechatronic problems.

Student Outcomes

Mechatronic Engineering Program graduates must have:

a. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering in mechatronics

b. An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data to evaluate the performance of a mechatronic system or component with respect to specifications

c. An ability to design a mechatronic system, component, or process to meet desired needs

d. An ability to function effectively as members of multidisciplinary teams

e. An ability to define and solve engineering problems

f. An understanding of professional ethical responsibility

g. An ability to communicate technical matters effectively in oral, written, and graphical forms

h. The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global and societal context

i. A recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in, life-long learning

j. A knowledge of contemporary issues related to mechatronics

k. An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern mechatronic engineering tools

necessary for engineering practice
